Klara Kiehl (32), a criminal law and litigation expert at Schoenherr, has been promoted to counsel as of February 2018. Klara has distinguished herself over the years by providing legal advice during criminal investigations and on compliance management. She also works regularly as a litigator for domestic and international clients before civil and criminal courts.

Klara Kiehl received her doctorate degree in law from the University of Vienna in 2012 and also studied at Charles University in Prague. Prior to joining Schoenherr in 2011, she gained experience as litigator in the dispute resolution team of a Viennese law firm. Klara is a member of the Austrian Criminal Law Association and a lecturer in criminal law, commercial criminal law and criminology at the Danube University Krems. She regularly publishes articles on white-collar crime issues in renowned journals. Most recently, Klara and Schoenherr partner Christoph Haid focused on the topic of internal corporate investigations in the comparative legal guide titled “Internal Investigations Primer in CEE”. Klara speaks German, English and Czech.
