Newcastle firm Ward Hadaway has poached Cobbetts’ regulatory chief Kirsty Gomersal.
She joins the North East firm as a partner in its health and safety and environment teams. Gomersal advises on a range of compliance and risk management issues, as well as investigations involving the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency and the Office of Fair Trading. She also advises companies and directors on work-related fatalities and corporate manslaughter issues.
Gomersal said: “It [Ward Hadaway] has got an excellent reputation in the market place and is a firm which is ambitious and keen to expand. There is a real focus on providing the right commercial solutions to clients and helping them to achieve their business goals and that is something which I have always looked to provide in my career.”
Commenting on her arrival, licensing and regulatory head Stephen Graham said, “I’m sure she will prove to be a real asset to the team and of great benefit to our clients”.
