RPC’s partnership has elected commercial litigation partner Rupert Boswall as its new senior partner with immediate effect.
Boswall, who joined RPC in 1991 as a newly-qualified lawyer, has been a partner in the firm’s London office for almost 20 years.
He succeeds Robert Hogarth, who stepped down from his non-executive chairman role after six years in the post. Hogarth will now focus on leading RPC’s growing construction and projects litigation practice.
Commenting on his appointment Boswall said: “I’m very honoured to have been appointed senior partner and at a very exciting time in the firm’s history as we continue to expand and diversify our business.”
RPC managing Jonathan Watmough congratulated Boswall on his appointment and said: “His depth of knowledge of both the commercial and insurance side of the firm will be a great asset.”
Watmough also thanked Hogarth for his ”dedication and achievements”.
Boswall will continue to practise as a commercial litigator with a focus on the insurance, banking, offshore and professional liability sectors.
Several firms in the City are undergoing management changes at present. Addleshaw Goddard recently appointed John Joyce as its new managing partner after Paul Devitt stood down a year early (16 May 2014).
