Olswang has hired Eversheds’ tax partner Andrew Quayle to boost its employee incentives team.
Quayle specialises in employee incentives and reward schemes and has particular experience in helping North American multinational companies implement global incentive plans.
Olswang’s head of tax Mark Joscelyne said in a statement: “Andrew has already demonstrated an ability to build and develop a successful share schemes practice and team, despite a severe downturn in corporate work in the last few years. We look forward to working with him to consolidate ourtax practice and to making the most of his international tax work, particularly for companies based in North America.”
Several partners have left Eversheds’ since the start of 2013, with recent exits including equity capital markets head Neil Matthews who left to join Field Fisher Waterhouse (7 June 2013) and UK corporate head Mark Spinner who left for Osborne Clarke (27 February 2013).
Gordons also recently took a team in Leeds including partner Terry Saeedi to launch a pensions team (4 June 2013). A team of property lawyers, including five partners, moved to DWF’s Manchester and Newcastle offices (9 May 2013) and another six-strong real estate team left the Birmingham office for Shakespeares (14 May 2013).
