US derivatives IT company DocGenix, which is majority owned by Allen & Overy (A&O), has turned to the firm for the hire of its first UK-based in-house lawyer.
Associate David Vincent has joined DocGenix as director of legal and operations in the UK and will work alongside New York-based general counsel John Berry.
Berry moved to the US when DocGenix launched last September, having been a derivatives counsel in A&O’s London office.
Berry said of Vincent’s hire: “David gives us on-the-ground coverage in the UK. DocGenix is an international business, so having someone able to visit clients in London is a great asset.”
Before joining DocGenix on a permanent basis, Vincent had been seconded to the company for several months.
DocGenix provides financial institutions with technology that manages documentation risk in the derivatives market.
