Regular visitors to Tulkinghorn’s page will recall that a few weeks ago he reported the plight of Thomas Eggar managing partner Tony Edwards, or “fat lawyer on a hike” as he has labelled himself.
Edwards had a plan to walk from the South Downs to Lewes and then to Brighton in 24 hours to raise money for Nepal. Well, he did it, but not without incident.
Edwards writes in an email that he had never undergone such a gruelling experience. “Having tripped as we raced downhill, and consequently having spent 30 minutes in the Red Cross tent, I have the scars and bruises to prove it,” he says.
Tulkinghorn applauds him for his work, but can’t shake the image of Edwards rolling down the hill like an unstoppable snowball.
