Citigroup lawyer takes on senior role

Citigroup has announced that its top lawyer Charles Prince is to become chairman and chief executive of the global corporate and investment bank. Prior to his new appointment, Prince had held the position of chief operating officer at the company. His current responsibilities for risk, legal, compliance, technology, human resources, communications and government relations will be taken over by Robert Willumstad, chairman and chief executive of the global consumer group.
