News of a riot at the recent securitisation conference in Spain has reached Tulkinghorn's ears. Securitisation lawyers are a rowdy bunch anyway, but are also known to get really excited when they spot a bargain – well, anything free actually. This was something that those manning the White & Case stand at the conference discovered to their cost.
Word spread quickly of the fetching duffel bag (pictured – The Lawyer not included) given to visitors at the White & Case stand, and those manning it were roughly manhandled as rival lawyers battled to grab themselves one of the limited-edition bags. All 250 were quickly disposed of and business cards were taken to supply 500 more that were ordered specially. Now, whoever said lawyers were tightfisted b*******?
