French firm Veil Jourde has launched a Brussels office, in its first foray outside Paris.
The move comes just a year after the firm launched a competition team with the hire of partner Emmanuel Tricot from Winston & Strawn.
The Brussels office will advise on competition, state aid, regulated industries such as telecoms, merger control and European law matters.
Tricot will lead the office. He said Veil Jourde had all the necessary skills to advise on issues such as public law.
Veil Jourde co-founder Jean Veil said the firm wanted to evolve and find better ways to serve its clients while maintaining its independence.
A number of other French firms, including August & Debouzy, Bredin Prat and Gide Loyrette Nouel have Brussels offices.
