Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) has posted trainee retention of 69 per cent for the September qualification round.

Of 26 qualifying trainees, 24 applied for newly-qualified jobs with the firm, and the firm made 18 offers, all of which were accepted.

It is an unusually low retention rate for NRF, which kept on more than three-quarters of its trainees in each of the previous 15 retention rounds dating back to 2010.

At 54 firms that have reported their retention figures this year, 1,098 trainees of 1,383 have stayed at the firm that trained them (79.7 per cent).

Only a handful of firms have yet to report their figures.
