Freshfields promotes 20 to partnership, nine in City

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has kicked off this year’s partner promotions season with a bumper crop of 20 lawyers set to join the partnership.

The number is up from last year’s figure of 18, with the nine London promotions representing a 50 per cent increase on 2010, when only six City associated got made up.

Corporate is the best represented practice area with seven new partners, while dispute resolution will have six new partners when the promotions come into effect on 1 May.
