Mishcon de Reya has announced the appointment of a former senior Government communications adviser to the newly created role of external affairs director.
Lisa Tremble, who joined Mishcon on 30 September, has more than 15 years’ experience of policy, political and media advice at the highest level of Government. Her former roles include working for Government ministers Charles Clarke, James Purnell and David Miliband across the Department for Education, the Home Office, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, and the Department for Work and Pensions.
As external affairs director at Mishcon, Lisa will be overseeing all external and internal communications, Government affairs, PR and related campaigns for the firm. Lisa will also be spearheading the firm’s new social impact strategy which will align the firm’s pro bono work and charitable giving as well as offering clients a strategic communications service.
Commenting on Tremble’s appointment, Mishcon’s director of business development Elliot Moss said: “Her experience speaks for itself, and she will be integral in helping us develop and further enhance our strategic communications activity.”
In 2010, Tremble ran the communications strategy for Miliband’s Labour leadership campaign, acting as his official spokesperson. She then joined Lexington Communications as a director where she ran the creative industries division providing public affairs, strategy, corporate communications and issues management advice to a wide range of companies and organisations.
