Slaughters consolidates position as top adviser to listed clients

Slaughter and May has taken the latest Adviser Rankings crown for the most stock market clients, with 27 more than nearest contender Pinsent Masons.

It must have been tears of joy around the winners’ table for Slaughters, which boosted the market cap of its listed clients by 7.8 per cent from £79.1bn to £85.2bn in the last three months. The firm also scooped the prize for the most FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients.

That could that be down to key clients like Ocado and 3i. The firm’s certainly been wooing clients effectively – winning a place on the Green Investment Bank’s inaugural panel last week.

There was room for other top performers too. Swanning up the red carpet in style were runners up Pinsents and Herbert Smith Freehills which added three and two new stock market clients respectively.

Sadly there are no scantily-clad golden men available for the winners. Firms will have to make do with the warm glow of pride.
