Simmons & Simmons has raided Richards Butler for a new Paris-based real estate team.
The four-lawyer team will be led by real estate associate Edouard Vitry, who will be responsible for the real estate practice in Paris.
Vitry is a French qualified avocat with fourteen years experience in real estate. He joined the Paris office of Richards Butler in 2001 to help set up their Paris real estate department.
During his time at Richards Butler, Vitry developed a substantial real estate practice acting for investment funds, banks, property companies, developers and insurance companies.
Simmons & Simmons real estate head John Sirs said the appointments would offer the firm access to a wider range of real estate clients across Europe.
“This gives us a real estate capability throughout our European network, enabling us to provide a comprehensive service to our clients across Europe,” he said.
Richards Butler head of real estate Scott Pearman wished him all the best with Simmons.
