LEEDS-based Hammond Suddards has announced the formation of a new executive to lead the firm following the retirement of joint senior partner Trevor Lewis.
Alan Bottomley will become Hammond Suddards' sole senior partner and will chair the new executive, which will be comprised of John Heller, head of the litigation department, Noel Hutton, head of the corporate department and Chris Jones, head of insolvency and corporate recovery.
Lewis, who is to retire in April next year, is to spend more time working as a non-executive director of the Bradford & Bingley Building Society.
Heller says it makes sense to move to a four-man executive as the next generation of the firm's leadership was taking over.
“The executive system allows us to remain in a fee earning capacity while we run the firm. It is important we remain at the coal face,” he says.
