Glaisyers has hired Cobbetts partner Eric Quirk to strengthen its commercial property team. Quirk, who specialises in property development and investment, leaves Cobbetts after three years as a partner to join Glaisyers. Quirk told The Lawyer: “I chose Glaisyers as it’s a less management-driven, very enthusiastic midmarket firm. Even quite large clients often feel overcharged by larger firms for essentially medium-sized work.” Glaisyers head of commercial litigation Nick Johnson said: “We fully expect [Quirk] to play a crucial role and we look forward to benefiting from his expertise.”
