The ad claimed that the job was “perfect for any lawyer looking for adventure and the chance to escape the monotony of a conventional law firm.”
The location? None other than the Federal Republic of Kurdistan, Iraq. Just imagine: sun, sand and plenty of… er, soldiers.
This didn’t escape the attention of the broadsheets, with at least one columnist wryly pointing out the attractions of such a posting.
Still, there are worse positions out there, such as at Reed Smith‘s new ‘Birmingham’ offices, or DLA Piper‘s next targeted market – Antarctica.
