The benefits of more women reaching the boardroom were on display at St Stephen’s Club in Westminster last week, when recruitment business Veredus held a diversity seminar.

Getting women on board was the subject, and the change in culture one of the themes. As one worthy gentleman speaker put it: “It’s noticeable and beneficial that, when women rise further up the corporate structure and reach positions of power and responsibility, the culture changes; and, for example, you immediately notice such things as less swearing in the workplace.”

He’s clearly never worked at The Lawyer.
