UK revenues show the way for Reed Smith

Reed Smith’s UK revenues comfortably outstripped the rest of the firm with turnover rising 29 per cent during the last year to $36.2m compared with a 19 per cent rise across the whole firm.

UK profit per equity partner for 2004 was up 6.8 per cent to $768,500 (£407,000).

Total firm revenue in 2004 was up 19 per cent to $504m and firm-wide profit per equity partner also rose 19 per cent in 2004 to $662,000.

The figures reflect the firm’s expansionist strategy under present chairman Greg Jordan. Total firm revenues are up 139 per cent since 2000 after the acquisitions of UK firm Warner Cranston and New York’s Crosby Heafey.
