Property boom drives Semple Fraser turnover growth

Scottish firm Semple Fraser has posted a 21 per cent rise in turnover to £13m, the third consecutive year of 20 per cent plus growth.

The 24-partner firm is best known for property, with clients including Sir Robert McAlpine, Land Securities and the Resolution Group (formerly Royal and SunAlliance).

The firm’s managing partner Alister Fraser said the growth in tax-driven property deals had not only boosted the firm’s revenues but had also increased the number of UK-wide deals in which Semple Fraser was involved.

Last year the firm advised on several high-profile property deals, including acting for Donegall Place Investments in its purchase of Edinburgh’s St James’ Centre.
