Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe completed its raid on the London office of Coudert Brothers today with the transfer of 18 associates and eight trainees joining the eight London partners, who finished at Coudert on Friday.
Coudert’s entire London partnership quit for Orrick on May 19, as first revealed on www.thelawyer.com. Today Orrick transferred 65 staff – associates, trainees and support staff – in addition to the eight partners.
Coudert initially vowed to keep all the associates in order to retain a presence in London but eventually bowed to the inevitable and accepted the transfer.
Coudert was unavailable for comment.
