Middle East firms prepare legal guide

LAW firms which conduct work in the Middle East are compiling a directory to raise their profile in the region.

The directory is being drawn up by the 20 law firm members of the Middle East Association, a group made up of businesses and professions working in the region.

It will be circulated to British embassies, business groups and many of the major companies and will provide details of all the law practices in the group and their specialist areas.

The directory is being compiled by Nabarro Nathanson's London-based construction partner Giles Dixon, who specialises in Middle East work.

He said business was booming in the region adding: “This exercise is not driven by the thought we are losing work to other people, it's more of a question of working together for the benefit of the membership in a profile raising exercise.”

Firms wishing to be included in the directory must first join the Middle East Association.
