Mayer Brown exits continue as Hong Kong partner defects to Holman Fenwick

Holman Fenwick & Willan has hired a partner and associate from Mayer Brown’s Hong Kong office

Nick Longley has joined the firm’s Hong Kong base as a partner alongside associate Richard Lyons. Minter Ellison associate Vincent Liu has also joined.

The news comes days after Eversheds announced the capture of Mayer Brown’s Hong Kong-based consultant Kingsley Ong, who joins as a partner (1 January 2011).

Longley’s practice focuses on construction and construction insurance law, working with governments, contractors, construction professionals and insurers. He is qualified in England, Hong Kong and Victoria.

Longley is Holman Fenwick’s second partner hire in a month after the arrival of Rhys Lewis in its Dubai office in December. Lewis, who ran his own consultancy before joining Holman Fenwick, specialises in M&A, joint ventures and consortium bids.

Holman Fenwick opened its 14th international office in Geneva in December. The office is being led by litigation partner Jeremy Davies.
