Linklaters corporate partner quits the law

Linklaters corporate partner Stephen Boughton (left) is set to leave the firm in the New Year. Boughton is believed to have opted to move away from the law and might choose to pursue an academic career. During his 25 years at the firm, Boughton has acted on a number of high-profile deals, most notably for SmithKline Beecham on its multibillion pound merger with Glaxo Wellcome in 1998.
