Simmons & Simmons has promoted eight lawyers to its partnership, six of whom are based outside the UK.
This is double the total number of partners the firm made up in 2009, of whom one was based in London.
Of this year’s promotions, two of the new partners are based in London, two in Paris and one apiece in Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Milan and Shanghai.
Two of the 2010 group work in dispute resolution, two in projects and one each in competition, employment, IP and tax.
Simmons senior partner David Dickinson said: ‘All eight individuals have demonstrated outstanding expertise and commitment to our clients, and their promotion reflects our commitment to career development and recognition of exceptional talent.’’
