Keoghs joins BLM, DAC Beachcroft and DWF on revamped Allianz claims panel

Allianz Insurance has appointed DAC Beachcroft, Berrymans Lace Mawer (BLM), DWF and Keoghs to its claims legal panel for England and Wales.

Keoghs has also been added to the panels for motor damage, motor personal injury (PI) & casualty, fraud and credit hire. The firm will also cover disease-related work alongside BLM and DWF.

For DAC Beachcroft and BLM the mandate is a reappointment following a tender process last year. The appointments will take effect from 1 February 2014.

Allianz Insurance technical claims head Martin Saunders commented: “Allianz has carried out a large scale review of our legal service requirements. The chosen panel will provide legal expertise and offer handler training and development resources which will benefit both Allianz and our customer base. A true win – win scenario.”

BLM partner Val Jones, who is the Allianz client relationship partner, added: “Our appointment across all lines of business not only enhances our relationship with Allianz, it also affirms our commitment to providing the necessary strategic support as the impact of comprehensive legal developments, including the civil justice reforms, which came into effect in 2013, begin to take shape.”

In October BLM secured a place on Hiscox’s new panel, with the insurer slashing its claims roster from 45 to 13 (31 October 2013).

The panel is a win for Keoghs which added three partners in Greater Manchester in September 2013 (20 September 2013) after gaining an ABS licence the previous year.
