SJ Berwin & Co has set up a pharmaceuticals unit to focus on all aspects of domestic and international pharmaceutical law in response to the growing importance of this area of law. Stephen Kon, one of four partners in the new unit, explained: “We are getting more and more work in this area and this is a useful way of providing an additional element to our service.” The unit aims to bring together specialists from a range of complementary disciplines with a wide knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry. Herbert Smith and Morgan Bruce have also recently set up specialist pharmaceutical units.
