Martineaus shakes up senior positions

Martineau Johnson has appointed William Barker as its new managing partner and promoted Hugh Carslake to the role of senior partner. Longstanding managing partner David Gwyther has stood down after 15 years in the top job, although he will remain an equity partner with the firm. Formerly the firm’s youngest-ever senior partner, Barker paid tribute to Gwyther in a statement. “Now that the plans are in place for our move in Birmingham, and our London office has a seven-figure turnover, a firm foundation is in place,” he said.
