Going batty

Philip Burroughs is showing disturbing signs of going native. The McGrigors real estate partner and London office head was heading off to Lords for the Tsunami Appeal cricket match on Tuesday 14 June when one of Tulkinghorn’s hacks caught up with him. The game featured 22 of the world’s best international players, including Brian Lara, Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan, which pitted the MCC against an International XI.

“Who’s playing?” asked the hack. “I haven’t a clue,” came the response. “I don’t like cricket.”

What next? Caber tossing?
