Three of 11 partners appointed worldwide by US firm Squire Sanders & Dempsey are based in the Prague office.
Prague is the firm's second largest European operation with more than 70 staff concentrating largely on telecommunications privatisation and financing work.
One of the three appointees is Dr Lubos Tichy, the former president of the Czech Advocacy Bar who advised the former Czech ministries of privatisation and trade and industry. The other two partners are John Behm, a specialist in telecommunications, privatisation and project finance, who joined the Prague office in 1993, and John Clapp, who heads the firm's finance practice in central and eastern Europe and specialises in international securities and banking.
Vladimira Papirnik, managing partner in Prague, said the appointments showed the firm's commitment to the city and Europe in general.
