Leading Welsh firm Hugh James has hired Sir Digby Jones, the former director general of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), as an adviser to support the firm’s growth. Jones spent six years as head of the CBI, stepping down in 2006. Since then he has been acting as a ‘skills envoy’ for the Government and consulted for Deloitte and Barclays Capital. Jones said of his new role at Hugh James: “It’s a forward-thinking, dynamic business creating well-paid, skilled jobs. I’m looking forward to working with the partnership to build on this success.”
