Students benefit

Last week's launch of the Careers Advice Network is a welcome initiative from those intending to pursue a career in the law.

Students often find it difficult to co-ordinate information, particularly if they do not have relations or acquaintances in the profession. A service to provide as much information as possible will no doubt be invaluable to them.

As Law Society president Tony Girling has pointed out, it is important to manage the expectations of students.
