Plane insane

Tulkinghorn can reveal that (some) lawyers do care. Take, for example, Wragge & Co's US partner David Birch. In his capacity as a member of the British North American Chamber of Commerce, Birch lobbied to launch American Airlines' Birmingham to Chicago route. But unfortunately, earlier this year the route was abandoned as passenger numbers continued to dwindle following the 11 September terror attacks. Birch, a dedicated supporter, paid tribute to the route by taking the last flight from Birmingham to Chicago and then flew straight back to Heathrow. Ah, that's so sweet.
