Sheridans launches new office in Surrey

The firm has opened an office in Chertsey dedicated to corporate, commercial and property work and which will be nearer to 20 of its clients. The new office is Sheridans' second.
Commercial partner Murray Wells, who is leading the venture, said: “We now have one commercial office with two branches. This will allow us flexibility at reduced costs.
“It's our first step outside London geared towards commercial work and we think it might develop.”
The new branch, which is smaller than the firm's headquarters in Holborn, will house Wells and commercial property lawyer Ron Hebeler.
Wells said: “In the next 12 months, we'll be looking to recruit people in litigation and employment from the local area.”
Another reason that the firm opted for the area was because it is away from competitors Laytons, Clyde & Co and Charles Russell in Guildford. Wells said: “We didn't want to go there because it's suffocated with law firms.”
Woking was also rejected by the firm due to insufficient office space.
