Eversheds solicitor bags pharma role

Veterinary pharmaceuticals and services company Dechra Pharmaceuticals has hired Zoe Bamford as its company secretary following the retirement of current company secretary Stephen Whitehouse.

Bamford, who will take on the role on 2 July, joins the company from city firm Eversheds where she was a solicitor in the company secretarial unit.

Dechra’s chief executive Ian Page has said that Bamford’s experience in company law and in working with listed companies will be an asset to Dechra.

Page also thanked Whitehouse, who leaves the company after 18 years of service. He had been Dechra’s company secretary since its flotation in 2000.

The company has since grown to house US and UK operations, with its Dechra Veterinary Products brand being the fastest-growing UK veterinary pharmaceutical company.
