College of Law to train Land Registry staff

The College of Law has won a £1.8m contract to train hundreds of civil servants at the Land Registry over a five-year period. The college has helped to redevelop the Land Registry Qualification, a distance-learning course, which will also be available to outside solicitors and their support staff from September this year. The college’s chief executive Professor Nigel Savage said: “We’re excited by the prospect of extending the course to conveyancing practitioners.”
