CC elects global tax and property leaders

Clifford Chance has elected new leaders for two of its global practice groups.

Cliff McAuley has been re-elected as global real estate practice leader for a four-year term starting 1 January 2006. He was first elected to the role in 2003 at which time he was head of the London practice.

David Harkness has been elected as global tax pensions and employment practice area leader. He also starts a four-year tenure in the New Year and is taking over from current head Douglas French who is standing down from the role after 10 years of both London and global management responsibilities.

McAuley and Harkness stood for the roles in uncontested elections following a nomination round.
