Bell tolls for Bircham’s housing team

Bircham Dyson Bell has moved out of social housing. Well, the practice area at least. The firm’s Victoria offices are quite nice, actually.

Head of social housing at the firm Keith Jenkins is to return to his old stomping ground at Westminster-based Winckworth Sherwood. Jenkins’ departure leaves the firm without a partner in the area, and while the firm is bullish about serving existing clients, its options are surely limited.

Just 12 months ago Bircham went on a recruitment drive to strengthen this practice area and recruited barrister Abimbola Badejo from Lawrence Graham, Kristian Schofield from housing boutique Prince Evans and Jennie Chilton from rated West End property specialist Fosters to grow the team. Schofield and Chilton have also both moved on, and Badejo is also soon to depart leaving the firm without a dedicated lawyer in the practice area. It seems Bircham’s social housing practice has been less than social.
