Addleshaws misses out as ITV announces revamped panel

ITV has revamped its legal panel, with six firms winning places but Addleshaw Goddard and Goodman Derrick losing their spots as advisors to the broadcaster.

Charles Russell, DLA Piper, Hogan Lovells, Olswang, Slaughter and May and Wiggin have all been selected for the revised panel. ITV last reviewed the panel in 2008, cutting back from 50 firms to nine.

The selected firms on the new-look panel are expected to have agreed a three-year term.

ITV general counsel Andrew Garard has led the panel review. In the 2008 review, he ditched billable hours in favour of fixed fees.

A former LeBoeuf Lamb Green & Macrae corporate partner, Garard joined ITV as legal director in September 2007. He was previously group general counsel at Cable & Wireless.

ITV said the panel was not yet finalised, but declined to comment further.
