LAW Society former director of international practice Hamish Adamson was last week described by colleagues as an “inspiration to work for and a pleasure to work with” after he received an OBE.
Adamson, who left the Law Society in 1995 after almost 30 years, was named in the New Year's honours list for services to the legal profession.
“He had a wealth of experience and knowledge and knew just about everybody in the legal world,” said the Law Society's Brussels representative Patrick Oliver. “He was greatly respected. He was a great asset to the Law Society and the legal profession generally.”
Adamson retired from Chancery Lane in October.
He was replaced by deputy head of communications Jonathan Goldsmith.
