Muckle lays off 14 after consultation” />Newcastle-based firm Muckle has completed a redundancy consultation that has seen 14 members of staff lose their jobs.
A total of six fee-earners, including one paralegal, and eight support staff have been made redundant.
Senior Partner Hugh Welch said: “The good news is that we believe all found new employment and, indeed, one of the secretaries re-joined us because a vacancy subsequently arose.”
The job cuts are the outcome of a consultation the firm launched with 20 members of staff this summer (TheLawyer.com, 4 August 2008).
The firm brought in revenues of £9.7m for the 2007-08 financial year and had 147 members of staff.
