Fiona Huntriss

Pallas Partners

Fiona Huntriss has had a dramatic year. Last February, she was among the six partners who split off from US firm Boies Schiller to launch a new London disputes boutique, Pallas Partners. She has since played a key role in building the new firm’s business and culture for the 20-odd associates, paralegals and business support staff who joined the exodus.

Huntriss has been here before. Four years after qualifying, she was the first associate recruited to Boies’ London office. This exposure to firm management coupled with Huntriss’ later role hiring new talent thrust huge responsibility on the budding litigator. Now at Pallas, Huntriss is heavily involved in the recruitment, compliance and regulatory side of the business.

She also received the vote of confidence from her clients – they all moved across from Boies. Major cases keeping her busy include acting for lenders involved in the Mozambique ‘tuna bond’ scandal, Credit Suisse investors caught in the Greensill collapse, and for institutional investors against mining giant Glencore. Huntriss also leads Pallas’ environmental and sustainability offering, and works pro bono with social mobility charity The Brokerage.

This year, Huntriss will help build out Pallas’ London and New York operations – starting with more associates.
