As the ructions of higher interest rates continue to stave off potential investors in a subdued financing market, Proskauer partner Alex Griffith’s stellar reputation for working with credit funds has put him in the limelight, especially as more firms try to conquer this practice area.
Recently Griffith spearheaded Ares Management in its backing of Eagle Football’s acquisition of Ligue 1 Club Olympique Lyonnais. In 2022, Griffith was also the driving force for Ares Management on its financing for the £1.6bn purchase of Euromoney Institutional Investor by private equity houses Astorg and Epiris, one of the largest publishing deals in Europe.
As credit funds continue to pique the interest of firms, the legal sector will see Griffith manage new entrants to this unique market and work on a number of leveraged finance restructuring deals.
