Roschier tempts back former partner for EU law push

A former partner at Sweden’s Roschier is set to rejoin the firm after a stint as managing partner at local rival Nord & Co.

Lars Johansson will be taking on the role of head of Roschier’s EU and competition law team in Sweden from January 2012. He originally left Roschier in June 2010

Commenting on the u-turn Johansson said: “I’ve always felt that Roschier’s team stood for high ambitions and extraordinary quality and professionalism. It feels good to be back.”

He was the managing partner of fellow competitor Cederquist from 2000 to 2002 and left the firm in 2005 to set up Roschier in Sweden (31 October 2005).

The news follows the departure of Roschier managing partner Ulf-Henrik Kull in October 2011 to launch a six-partner Helsinki-based corporate and transactional outfit along with Hannes Snellman managing partner Carl-Henrik Wallin (4 October 2011).

In July 2011 Roschier announced the recruitment of Malin Leffler, Pontus Enquist and Ola Sandersson from Sweden’s Vinge. They will join Roschier’s partnership in January 2012 (6 July 2011).
