Dundas & Wilson’s co-head of infrastructure Andrew Renton has left the firm.
It is understood that Renton’s departure was announced to the Dundas partnership on Friday 30 September.
The firm did not return calls for comment, but an automatic email reply sent from Renton’s address said: “Andy Renton has now left Dundas & Wilson. Please rest assured that all ongoing matters have been transferred and are being looked after…”
The firm later released a statement reading: “Having dedicated 12 years of service to the firm, Andrew has decided that this is an appropriate juncture for him to take a career break.”
Renton was a practice head for infrastructure at the firm, with expertise advising on engineering projects concerning energy, utilities and infrastructure. It is not yet known if Renton has plans to move to another firm.
Renton joined Dundas & Wilson in 1999 from Simpson & Marwick, where he was a construction litigation partner.
Following Renton’s departure Keith Armstrong has become sole head of energy and infrastructure and Trudi Craggs is practice area leader for infrastructure.
