Matrix recruits 2-3 Gary’s Inn director

Matrix Chambers has poached 2-3 Gray’s Inn Square’s chambers director Lindsay Scott as its new chief executive.

Scott joins Matrix in January 2006 after four years at 2-3 Gray’s Inn Square.

She becomes Matrix’s second chief executive, following the departure of Nick Martin, who joined Bindman & Partners as chief executive in September this year. Martin was part of the team that founded Matrix five years ago.

Since its creation, the set has grown to be a major player in human rights and public law, but also has noted practitioners in other fields. It won The Lawyer’s Chambers of the Year award in June 2005.

Scott said: “This is an exciting move for me and I’m very pleased to be joining a dynamic set like Matrix at such a challenging and exciting time for the legal profession and especially the bar.”
2-3 Gray’s Inn Square’s co-head of chambers Anthony Porten QC said: “We’re extremely sorry to be losing Lindsay. She’s been a great asset to chambers over the past four years, and we wish her well at Matrix.”
