Lincoln’s Inn-based Edwin Coe has taken on three non-equity partners to boost its non-core practices while at the same time developing its traditional areas of insolvency and litigation.
Former Davies Arnold Cooper partner Carolyn West and ex-Reed Smith associate Thom Wilkinson have both joined Edwin Coe’s property department as partners.
Simeon Gilchrist has been hired from Druces & Attlee to further strengthen the insolvency practice.
In addition, senior partner and senior litigation and dispute resolution and contentious insolvency partner Christopher Berry said that, unlike the rest of the market, the firm was hoping to expand on the private client side and “looking at fairly senior level appointments there”.
Berry said the first quarter turnover is on track to meet the target of £13m for the year – up £1m on last year.
