Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has suffered another blow to its technology transactions group with the loss of a partner to Brobeck Phleger & Harrison.
The departure of David Hudanish to the New York office of the Silicon Valley firm comes just weeks after the head of the group at Milbank, Dan Mummery, jumped ship for Valley firm Cooley Godward.
Hudanish advises clients on IT and business process outsourcing transactions and technology transfer and licensing agreements. His big deals include acting for AT&T in a $4bn (£2.8bn) IT outsourcing deal with IBM, as well as outsourcing deals for clients such as Boeing, DuPont, JP Morgan, Chase and United Airlines. He has been a Milbank partner for two years.
Brobeck managing partner James Burns says: “David’s addition advances our goal of maintaining our position in handling large transactions on the East Coast. He’ll be important in serving the technology-related needs of our clients.”
Brobeck’s New York clients include Nike and ECI Telecom.
