Eversheds has matched last year’s record promotion round, making 30 associates up to its partnership.
Chief executive David Gray said the promotions reflected the success the firm has had, which includes a serious number of new client wins.
Gray said: “I’m pleased to ;see the number of new corporate partners, which shows how this part of our work continues to expand.”
Corporate took the most partners with 13 made up. ;Real ;estate ;added seven, commercial six and HR four.
The promotions span across ;Eversheds’ ;23 international offices, with London seeing the largest increase with eight new partners.
The firm made up seven women – 23 per cent of the new partners – with commercial taking the most with three, followed by corporate with two. Real estate and HR took one woman apiece.
Female ;promotions, though, are 10 per cent down on the previous year.
A ;spokesperson ;for Eversheds said: “Overall we still have more female partners than any of the other major law firms. What is of more relevance both ;to ;us ;and ;the profession at large is the quality of potential future female partners that we’re seeing coming through at associate and ;senior ;associate levels. Our new director of diversity is very focused on ensuring that this continues to be translated into our partner promotions in future years.”
The firm also promoted a record 33 lawyers to senior associate and 72 to associate.
