Poland’s largest independent firm Domanski Zakrzewski Palinka (DZP) has overhauled its management structure and promoted seven partners as part of a new succession plan.
DZP has created an elected management committee of four partners, giving more people a say in the business and to manage the shift in leadership from the founding partners to the next generation of lawyers.
On the board are name partners Grzegorz Domanski and Józef Palinka as well as finance partner Andrzej Foltyn and foreign investment specialist Marcin Krakowiak.
Managing partner Krzysztof Zakrzewski said: “We’re thinking about the future. The founders to some extent have been running the firm. Now we have a more open structure with an elected board and an elected managing partner.”
Zakrzewski said all the firm’s 19 partners took part in the elections. The firm also promoted a new crop of associates to partner.
The seven new partners have practices that deal with a range of matters.
